Join us for an epic week of creative community, art-making, adventure, healing, and pure relaxation

Whether you are a visual artist, dancer, poet, actor, or creative dabbler - join us on the mission to reconnect to our creative inspiration and sense of wonder. Join a vibrant community of artists seeking to develop their craft and live a conscious life.

Our day will begin with stream of consciousness journaling, movement, and meditation. The classes ‘Art and Ecology’ and ‘Terra Incognita’ will weave through our week, providing creative prompts, small group projects, and interactions with the land.

There will be two full-day adventures where we will hike and swim in mountains and the jungle. Be prepared to enjoy the coffee, chocolate, arepas, and mysterious fruits you have never heard of!

In the course of our time together you will be pushed to play, experiment, share your art boldly and become part of the family of conscious creatives and collaborators you have always been dreaming of!

ART AND ECOLOGY

We spend time listening to the wind, quietly observing the dance of the shadows, the intricacies of the plant life that surrounds us.

Through drawing, photography, and interactive land sculpture we create in unison with the rhythms of the land -

TERRA INGOGNITA

Terra incognita is a term used in cartography for regions that have not been mapped or documented. We dive into tools for uncovering the unknown, the mysterious, and the wondrous.

Using tools such as visualization, games of chance, storytelling, and mystic yogi techniques, we will get lost, wander, and explore frontier boundaries both within and without, very big and very small -

Our Retreat Home

We will be staying at the gorgeous and peaceful Shyam Ashram in Cali. All the facilities are pleasantly open-air. They will be cooking us 3 fresh vegetarian meals a day. This is not an impersonal retreat place - it is a place wherein everyone is welcomed like family, and the hosts love to personally take guests around and introduce them to all the delights of Colombian food, land, and culture. The family is big - including 2 dogs, a horse, 4 large parrots, and a peacock!

Shyam Ashram is considered a sacred space that people often come to heal and dive deeper into spirituality. There is a beautiful temple on the property with daily ceremonies - it is an open and non-sectarian space and you are welcome to engage as much or as little as feels good.

Details

  • Fly in Aug 23 to Cali, Colombia (Aeropuerto Internacional Alfonso Bonilla Aragón)

  • Extended stays at the retreat center can be arranged if you would like to take more personal time to explore and relax. We can also help direct you to other special places to visit in the country.

  • Proof of vaccine is not required for this retreat, though you may have to receive a negative COVID test to fly

  • Please note: because we have planned longer excursions, it is important that you are in good health for a multiple-hour hike. We can arrange for you to enjoy the day at the retreat center if you need or prefer a less intensive option.

Payments and Bookings

  • Price: $1650 with a $500 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot

  • All payments must be completed by the beginning of the retreat
