ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Lila Vrindavan (aka Liza Goncharova) is a visual artist, teacher, mentor, and yogini with a passion for uniting people through aesthetic experience. She founded Luminous Arts as a home for seekers and artists (both big and little!) to come together to offer their lives to their art, and their art to the sacred through community and education.

MEET LILA

Lila Vrindavan is a visual artist weaving themes of ecology, language, ritual, and transcendence across media. She holds a Bachelor of Humanities and Arts (BHA) degree with a focus in Drawing/Painting from Carnegie Mellon University. Check out her work here!

Her lifetime has been one of deep commitment to both artistry and spirituality. She spent 14 dedicated of her early life studying and performing Russian classical ballet, and eventually transitioned to study visual art full-time.

Surrounded by the arts from such a young age instilled in her a sense of wonder. This very inquiry led Lila to study mysticism, yoga philosophy, ayurveda (eastern healing science) and bhakti (devotion) from master teachers.

Alongside her creative work, she is a certified yoga teacher, life coach, and practiced in the Waldorf approach to education.
